Silicon, graphite GL1, fluorspar FC75/85/92
Silicon participates in the alloying of steel. It increases its yield strength, increases impact resistance, gives greater elasticity and provides good hardenability. The updated alloy retains its hardness in a hardened state at high temperature and is characterized by good heat resistance.
Graphite GL-1 is a powder, which is a loose substance of natural origin. Externally, graphite looks like gray tiny crystals, the powder itself has a characteristic, pronounced luster of a real metal. The composition is actively used in various fields of modern industry.
Fluorspar (or fluorite) is a mineral, natural calcium fluoride (CaF2) with a relative calcium content of 51.33%, fluorine 48.67%. In its pure form, it is quite rare. For the most part, it contains small amounts of impurities of rare earth elements: uranium, gallium, beryllium, thorium. It may contain impurities and other rare elements, as well as organic substances. It represents crystals of cuboctahedral, octahedral or cubic shape. In its pure form it is colorless, but in nature it can have different shades: blue-green, white, brown-yellow, red, etc. This is due to the fact that the crystal structure of fluorite is very sensitive to heating and radioactive radiation. The melting point is 1360 °C. It has no magnetic properties and has no electrical conductivity. It is not soluble in water. In nature, fluorspar occurs most often in the form of coarse or fine-grained masses, columnar, fibrous or spherical aggregates.
